Group project - week 2 Research

Following my research in graphic design I came across a Chinese designer called Cao Fang

She is a Graphic design professor at the Nanjing arts institute.
She has a distinguished profile in design research and teaching.
She has also published more than 30 articles with topics ranging from Chinese characters to the cultural role of women in advertising.
She is currently a Nanjing Arts Institute professor and has lectured at AiChi Art University, Japan and Kassel Art Institute, Germany.
Mrs. Fang’s work has been published extensively in design books and magazines around the world and some of her poster designs have been included in collections like the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Zurich Design Museum.
A member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), Fang Cao is also the recipient of numerous awards collected in China and abroad.

These are some of her pieces of Design.
I particularly like the first piece below, It looks like ribbons folded to look like a birds flying across the sky. it is a very effective use of both computer graphics and real objects.

I also like this piece below, I have always been fascinated by Chinese characters, how each one looks like a small piece of art. This piece uses lots of sizes, colours and effects, and overall looks outstanding, it has a real grunge feel to it. There is allot going on in the piece.
